August - September Currents Update: Bay Area CCA Chapter

Hi from the Bay Area Chapter.  We are proud to report that out final Banquet numbers are in and we had over a 100% increase in the profit for CCA.  We are already planning our 2012 banquet and we hope to make it even better.  We have been having regular monthly general meetings with some great speakers and good attendance.  We have also been pretty busy in the tournament area and are trying to put a tournament on about every 60 days.  Speaking of tournaments, one of our board member won the Ladies Tournament put on by SALT WATER ANGLERS OF TEXAS on June 18th.  Rhonda Anderson won the tournament.  Congratulations Rhonda.  We are having a tournament on June 25th and I am sure Rhonda will be fishing.  Good Luck.  With all of the wind, fishing has been pretty hit and miss.  Hopefully, this week we will have some much needed rain and that may also change the weather pattern.  Let’s hope so.  If you are interested in serving our chapter in a board position or volunteer, contact me at 832-632-2045, or email kentlacy@comcast.net.

Keep a tight line till next time and be safe.
