Brazoria County

August - September Currents Update: Brazoria County CCA Chapter

Your Brazoria County CCA chapter would like to thank all of our sponsors, donors, buyers, attendees and of course our banquet committee for making the 2011 Banquet a huge success. The 2011 banquet was our most profitable banquet in 29 years so thanks again for all of the support.

The Brazoria County CCA Chapter would also like to recognize this years volunteer of the year, BJ and Bill Stoerner. Thanks for all of your help and support to our Chapter. We would also like to congratulate this years boat raffle winner Mr. Skippy Allen.

CCA Brazoria County would like to take this time to congratulate all the young anglers who participated in the 11th annual Take-A-Kid Fishing Tournament hosted in May by Port Freeport. They registered in 187 kids ranging in age from 3-14 years old. If you have never had the opportunity to attend this event as well as the other Kid Fishing events in our area we will be posting the dates on the CCA website (www.ccatexas.org) as the dates are made available.

On behalf of CCA Texas and the Brazoria County CCA we congratulate Brady Tullos; Star Kid Scholarship Winner from 2003 will be excepting his scholarship this June at his Graduation Awards Ceremony. Way to go Brady, who would have thought a Gafftop would be a money fish one day.

Our next General Membership Meeting will be July 19th, 6:30 pm at Sea Center Texas. The public is welcome for this event so if you have any questions about this or are interested in becoming a board member give me a call at 979-265-6555. —Dan Johnson djohnson@sparklingclear.com
