Upper Coast Anglers' Night Out

You are invited to an Upper Coast Anglers’ Night Out at The Event Centre in Beaumont on October 29 at 6:00 pm, hosted by the Golden Triangle CCA Chapter. We have some great speakers lined up to discuss the Texas Artificial Reef Program, provide updates on recent nearshore reefing projects on the Upper Texas Coast and inform us of opportunities to promote and support nearshore reefs and structures.

In order to get an accurate estimate of attendance we are offering presale tickets for $25.00. All tickets at the door will be $30.00 and we will limit ticket sales to 200 people. We do expect this to be a sell out event, so please do not wait to purchase your ticket at the door. The price of your admission includes a fried catfish dinner catered by Cajun Country Cookers and an assortment of beverages.
We will have a raffle and giveaways that include some excellent CCA-branded merch, fishing rods and reels, and fishing gear.

Our Guest Speakers Include:

John Blaha
John Blaha has worked for CCA Texas since 2002 as an Assistant Director where he is currently facilitates chapter meetings, banquets and events for Aransas Bay, Brush Country, Corpus Christi, Redfish Bay, and San Antonio. He is also the Director of CCA Texas’ Habitat Today for Fish Tomorrow (HTFT). John will speak to CCA Texas’s involvement in the artificial reef program and highlight a few of the recent projects that CCA has supported.

Dr. Brooke Shipley
Dr. Brooke Shipley graduate of Baylor University (’97), Texas A&M University (’00) and University of South Alabama (’08). She has worked for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Artificial Reef Program since 2009. Brooke will provide an overview of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Artificial Reef Program and provide updates on current and future reefing projects, including reefs off the upper Texas Coast.
