The CCA North Texas Chapter hosts our 4th Annual Banquet on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 3R’s Ranch in Prosper, TX, and it will be our biggest yet! We welcome our returning title sponsor Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and this year we’re bringing North Texas’s favorite fried chicken to our party – Babe’s Chicken Dinner House. Babes on the Bay, the largest all-women fishing tournament in the world, will be May 15-16, 2026, in Rockport, hosted by the CCA Aransas Bay committee. It’s a fun-filled weekend of fishing, live music, vendor booths and conservation, and there are many teams from the North Texas area each year. You can sign-up your own team at www.babesonthebay.com.
And speaking of tournaments, do NOT forget to enter CCA’s STAR Tournament if you plan to visit the coast this year. Running from May 23 to September 7, 2026 STAR covers the entire Texas coast as anglers hunt for tagged redfish, plus other inshore and offshore species. Prizes include a Ford F-250 XLT 4WD, five Ford F-150 and Haynie Amigo combos, three TranSport 220 SVT’s, a Shoalwater 19 Cat, Dargel Kuda and Attack-a-Flat, Polaris Ranger Crew, Whataburger or Lone Star beer for a year, and multiple scholarships in the youth division.
