The latest from CURRENTS
Summer brings great fishing opportunities, and the Inter-Chapter Challenge. We have 15 members going and we’re looking forward to the fun and camaraderie.
We had our May chapter meeting under the pavilion at the Brazos Center. We were treated to delicious pulled pork, cooked by our very own – Dennis Grimes. He really should enter the world bar-be-que cook off or open a restaurant. Also, another member – Bill Hopson brought several boxes of hard bait lures to give away. He said he had too many, much to the delight of those of us in attendance, we took home some great future catching memories. The chapter meetings are a good way to connect to fellow fisherman, local business owners, enjoy good food and drink, and impart great fishing stories. Our next chapter meeting will be in September or October. Scott Sigle will be sending out an email with the exact date, etc. If you would like to receive the email, please drop me a line.
In October, we will be planning our 2026 CCA Brazos Valley Chapter Annual banquet, with a DATE CHANGE to February 6, 2026. Please mark that date in your calendar and join us this fall for gathering banquet sponsors and donations. Thank you! In the meantime, take a kid, friend or family member fishing. And most of all enjoy sharing our passion
