CURRENTS – June/July 2019
On April 18 we celebrated our 38th Annual Banquet and once again it was another record-breaking year. We had a record crowd in attendance in excess of 400 guests and grossed over a quarter of a million dollars. The Dallas board members along with Assistant Director Drew Adams put a great deal of time and effort into the event and I can’t thank them all enough. Thanks to our donors and sponsors such as Miles & Miles Outfitters, Beretta Gallery, Mariner Sails, Hobie, Pelicans Roost Resort Lodge, Finish Line Outdoors, Tito’s, Angel’s Envy, Oak Highlands Brewing, Temple Fork Outfitters, 3 Curl Outfitters, Jim Bush and Dallas Chapter Zuider Zee Boys we had an amazing live auction line-up as well as some awesome raffle packages. Fortunately, the list of supporters was too extensive to list them all, but please check out our website to see some of the other donors. Most of all, thank you to our banquet attendees for your unwavering support. Were it not for the support you’ve shown through the years, none of this would be possible. Thank you one and all!!! During the banquet, we recognized Mr. Ron Gard as our 2019 Conservation Sportsmen of the Year. Ron has been a staunch supporter of CCA for nearly 40 years. Congratulations Ron!
Next on the schedule is the Dallas Chapter’s 4th Annual Hooked on Clays sporting clays tournament at the Dallas Gun Club on Friday, September 20, 2019. We will begin check-in at 11:00 am and lunch shortly after. The tournament will begin at 1 pm followed by raffles and a social event. Feel free to contact me or Drew Adams at email@example.com for more details or to register a team.
In closing, the Dallas Chapter is happy to announce that Mr. Greg Resnansky will serve as the new chapter president for the next two years and Mr. Jason Gray will be serving the role as vice president. We have no doubt that the best is yet to come for the Dallas Chapter. Please visit us on Facebook and Instagram. Hope your summer holds some saltwater plans. Catch ‘em up and turn ‘em back!!!
