In the midst of banquet preparations, the Fort Bend Chapter hosted an Anglers’ Night Out event in March with our guest speaker being CCA Texas Advocacy Director Shane Bonnot. Shane was very informative of CCA’s past, present, and future endeavors. We all felt the Anglers’ Night Out was a great way to give a little back to our community and members. Thanks to Shane and all the men and woman that made this event a hit, we hope to do more in the future. I would also like to thank Long Acres Ranch in Richmond for allowing us to hold this event at their banquet hall.
After months of hard work and preparation from our Ft. Bend committee members, our 39th Annual CCA Fort Bend Chapter banquet has come to an end. If you didn’t make it out this year it was a huge success. We had around 500 people attend this year’s banquet for a good time, good fellowship and hopes of a big win.
The one thing I can say about our FBCCA Banquet is that if you think you’ve seen it all, then keep coming back because we try to have new ideas every year to make our banquets unique. We may not be able to pull rabbits out of hats, but you should see what Nathan can do with his chicken. Thanks again to all our sponsors, donors, participants and members.

The 2025 banquet was held on Thursday, April 17th and it was an awesome event! Thank you to all attendees, volunteers, and sponsors for your support, together we helped raise crucial funds that will help ensure the health and conservation of our marine resources and anglers’ access to them here in Texas.
