The Galveston CCA Board held our first meeting of 2024 on January 22. After watching the “H-E-B Our Texas, Our Future Films: Redfish Revival” together, we elected Brooke Wilson as our new Secretary and closed in on key dates for the year, so have a look below and mark your calendars for a few of our upcoming events!
First, the Galveston CCA Annual KidFish will be May 11 at Seawolf Park on Pelican Island, Galveston. It’s a FUN/FAMILY/FREE FISHING EVENT, and we really enjoy hosting it! Keep an eye on our website for upcoming details: ccatexas.org/find-your-chapter/Galveston.
Next, we are renewing Galveston CCA Reels and Heels Women’s Fishing Tournament. It will be held on Saturday, June 22 with the Captain’s Meeting Friday night, June 21. We’ll have the flyer with details also coming to our website.
And finally, our first Anglers Night Out members meeting is being planned for February 19. Bd on the lookout for emails and website communications. Cheers and hope to see you out there soon!

Banquet
The 2023 banquet was held on Saturday, September 16. Thank you to all attendees, volunteers, and sponsors for your support, together we helped raise crucial funds that will help ensure the health and conservation of our marine resources and anglers’ access to them here in Texas. Stay tuned for 2024 banquet details.
KidFish Tournament
Our Annual Kidfish Tournament will be held on May 11, 2024.
