A whirlwind swept through the Highland Lakes area starting with an email from Coleman Todd and Corbin Primrose from CCA Texas in early September that asked if the communities along this part of the Colorado were interested in forming a new “Highland Lakes Chapter”. Within two weeks, about 20 CCA members showed up for the first chapter meeting, and by October 24, the new chapter’s inaugural banquet was held in Marble Falls’ Lakeside Pavilion. This light speed couldn’t have been achieved without Corbin. The Pavilion was packed and filled with energy, creating an incredible launch celebration for the new chapter. We want to extend our appreciation for the immediate and generous support from our banquet Sponsors, including Chicken Express – Marble Falls, Hoffpauir Polaris, Landtamers LLC, Tiki Trucking, Elliott Electric Supply Marble Falls, The Rockafellow Law Firm, PLLC, RT Marine, Mathew Mason Custom Homes, Come and Take It Moving, Academy Sports + Outdoors, and Republic Heavy Equipment LLC. As we end the year on a high note, we also want to congratulate every CCA Chapter and Member for the hard work and dedication that make CCA Texas a powerful force in restoring, preserving, and stewardship of Texas’ coastal resources. Take a kid fishing for fun, and gift the idea of stewardship to the next generation by showing them what CCA does for our coastal waters.

The 2024 banquet was held on Thursday, October 24th and it was an AWESOME inaugural event! Special thanks to all attendees, volunteers, and sponsors for your support, together we helped raise crucial funds that will help ensure the health and conservation of our marine resources and anglers’ access to them here in Texas.
