Oftentimes, when I’m on the water, I reflect and thank the big guy above for the beauty he has blessed us with. Yes, I’m grateful for fishing, but the view is even better than that! Recently I was given the opportunity to stay overnight on the water in a very primitive floating cabin. So, I got to see the bay from dusk to dawn. In just that short period of time, I learned so much about the coastal environment and how it moves through time. It gave me a whole new appreciation for our coastal waters and what needs to be done to preserve and maintain marine life. Yes, we fished…but the experience itself left me full and happy! Thank you, Greg Samuels, for inviting us to your secret, sacred spot!
Join us on April 30, 2026. at the Emerging Technology Center in Victoria for the 2026 CCA Mid Coast Chapter banquet. It’s a fun time had by all! Cathy’s from POC will be catering again this year and the Shuck Truck will be serving farm raised Texas oysters! We look forward to seeing you there!
