I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful fall weather and catching and releasing some fish! The Mid-Coast Chapter has some exciting events coming up we hope you will be a part of!
We are excited to announce that we will once again have a pre-banquet raffle highlighted by a 2021 Haynie Bigfoot powered by a 2021 Mercury 150 sitting on a 2021 Coastline custom trailer along with 4 other great prizes! We will have tickets and will be showcasing the boat around Victoria by the time you read this, please call Cheryl Guthrie (361) 935 3342 or Mike Brawner (281) 787 1671 for more information or to purchase tickets ($100/each). Please keep an eye on our chapter Facebook page for special upcoming events around the area where we will be showcasing this beautiful boat!
Please plan to join us for dinner and drinks on January 11, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. for our annual membership meeting at Sky restaurant at the Victoria airport. Kelley Kowal, San Antonio Bay Ecosystem Team Leader for Texas Parks & Wildlife will be presenting on the “state of our bays and fisheries” and sharing important information about how you can be involved in conserving our shared resource. Our chapter will again be partnering with the San Antonio Bay Partnership to assist with the February abandoned crab trap cleanup in Aransas, San Antonio & Matagorda Bays. The big event will be the first Saturday of the closure on February 19, 2022 in Port O’Connor. If you want to bring your boat and participate, Allan Berger has laid out cleanup routes to follow.
