Greetings from the Rio Grande Valley Chapter! We have officially kicked off the 2025 CCA RGV Chapter boat raffle campaign, which is all made possible by our Multi-Year Exclusive Title Sponsor: L&F Distributors. The 1st place winner will take home this stunning 21ft Shallow Sport Boat. This boat features an eye-catching color combination of Polar Ice with Oyster Stripe, the new deluxe raised platform and console, a white 175hp Suzuki motor, and an aluminum tandem axle trailer. In addition, the 2025 raffle will also have additional prizes of a Texas Parks and Wildlife Lifetime Fishing & Hunting License, CCA Lifetime Membership with Gun of the Year, Simms G3 Guide Waders, Simms G3 Guide Wading Jacket, custom Waterloo Carbon Mag rod, as well as a Turtlebox Speaker. The raffle tickets are priced at $50 each, 3 for $100 or 20 for $500.

We will be having our 4th annual Hooked on Clays Skeet Shoot at the Mission Skeet and Trap Club on October 5, 2024. The custom buckles sponsored by Lone Star National Bank have arrived for the winning HOA Team (4 shooters), HOA Youth, HOA Ladies, and HOA Men’s. Each will receive this custom buckle that RB Custom Buckles provided and will hold the bragging rights for the year. In addition to the buckles, each shooter of the winning HOA Team will receive a 65qt Yeti cooler graciously donated by Chorizo De San Manuel and each shooter of the winning HOA Youth, HOA Ladies and HOA Mens will receive a 5 gal loaded out Yeti bucket with a lid donated by Captain Frank’s Outdoor Adventures. You won’t want to miss this event, so don’t wait to sign up your team, as team slots are limited.

The 2024 banquet was held on Friday, March 1 and it was a huge success! Thank you to all attendees, volunteers, and sponsors for your support, together we helped raise crucial funds that will help ensure the health and conservation of our marine resources and anglers’ access to them here in Texas.
