As the new year kicks off, the CCA San Gabriel Chapter is recharged and ready to keep the momentum going for Texas coastal conservation. With cooler weather settling in and prime fishing ahead, here’s what’s happening in Georgetown.
First, a big reminder: our 24th Annual Banquet is locked in for Thursday, August 6, 2026, right here in Georgetown. The Planning Committee is hard at work lining up everything to make this one an event you won’t want to miss—bigger prizes, more excitement, and even stronger support for our fisheries and habitats. Stay tuned for ticket details and sponsorship opportunities as we get closer.
Details for our first Anglers’ Night Out of 2026 are coming together and will drop soon on the CCA San Gabriel Facebook page. Keep an eye there for date, time, location, and speaker info—we always aim to deliver great evenings of education, camaraderie, and door prizes.
In the meantime, the chapter is enjoying some much-needed time on the Texas Coast, chasing reds, trout, and whatever the bays offer up. We’re also looking forward to supporting our fellow chapters by attending their banquets over the next few months—nothing beats seeing the statewide network in action and sharing ideas for conservation wins.
