Heather Peterek took First Place in Special Projects-Conservation for “Building Conservation Trust,” And Third Place, Outdoor Publications for Rising Tide. Great wins against tough competition.
Kim Ogonosky almost ran the table in the Outdoor Television Video category with Second and Third Place.
Ted Venker took First Place in Original Internet Story Blog, “Angling Matters.” And, a huge win, Second Place for Outdoor Publications, TIDE Magazine.
Sam Caldwell took First Place for a Currents front cover painting, “Nearshore Reefing in Action.”
There was standing room only at the CCA Booth to watch Kim Ogonosky’s HTFT videos, and Chris Smisek’s video of the opening of Cedar Bayou.
The Keynote Spokesman, Carter Smith, TPWD Commission Chairman expressed his gratitude for all that CCA does to make the Texas outdoors a better place.
David Sikes of the Corpus Christi Caller Times is the outgoing TOWA President and winner of TOWA’s highest award for service to the Texas outdoors.
