The CCA Texas Redfish Bay Chapter Take a Kid Fishing event has been ongoing for over 20 years and is held the first weekend of June each year. Woody’s Sports Center in Port Aransas has been the event’s host throughout its existence with the assistance of board members from the CCA Texas Redfish Bay Chapter.
The year’s event kicks off on Friday evening June 5th with registration and a shrimp boil starting at 5:00 PM at Woody’s Sports Center. Fishing takes place on Saturday starting at sunrise and weigh-in starts at 11:00 AM and ends at 12:30, back at Woody’s Sports Center. It’s a fun tournament for the kids so come on out and enjoy time outside.
Registration is $10 per child and this includes their CCA Texas membership and entry into the 2015 STAR tournament.
