The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released its proposed plan to remediate the San Jacinto River Waste Pits Superfund site on Galveston Bay. The plan recommends a complete removal of the dioxin contaminated material from the site. “We are proposing to remove contaminated material and provide the community with the most protective cleanup plan for the San Jacinto waste pits site” stated the EPA Regional Administrator in a press release.
